Information only
The site provides general information about postcodes and demographics, compiled from public sources (see About). It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free.
Don't rely on it for decisions that need authoritative data, such as legal, financial, insurance, tax or mail-delivery decisions. For official postcode and address information use Australia Post; for official statistics use the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
No affiliation
Postug is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Australia Post, Geoscape Australia, the Australian Bureau of Statistics or any government agency.
Acceptable use
- Use the site for lawful purposes only.
- Don't attempt to disrupt or overload the site, or to gain unauthorized access to it.
- Automated collection at a rate that affects other visitors is not allowed. Contact us if you need bulk data.
- Don't use the postcode or address information to build mailing lists.
Content and data
The source data is public and carries its own licences: G-NAF © Geoscape Australia (Open G-NAF End User Licence Agreement), Census data and postal area boundaries © Commonwealth of Australia (ABS, CC BY 4.0). The text, design and compilation of Postug are ours. You may quote figures with a link back to the page you used. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is subject to its own license.
Third-party services and links
The site loads map software and map images from third parties (see the Privacy Policy) and links to outside websites. We don't control those services or sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Postug and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from reliance on its information. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
